MAYA
A mother, creative producer, and writer who’s built a career by shamelessly embracing creativity and faith. From growing a YouTube community of over 1 million to providing artistic direction for the late artist Prince on AOA, my journey has led me on uncharted adventures I could never have imagined possible.
Motherhood, however, has been my most challenging and transformative chapter yet. It inspired me to write My Shameless Struggle into Motherhood, a guide for women seeking practical tools and encouragement to navigate the beautiful mess of motherhood.

MOTHERHOOD
I knew motherhood would be tough, but those first two years of becoming a mother have been by far the hardest chapters of my life. A combination of being an immigrant in a foreign land and lack of knowledge and support in postpartum led to a series of challenges that broke me physically and spiritually.
But in my lowest moments, I encountered God in a way I never had before. He gave me the strength, wisdom, and determination to overcome these challenges, and ultimately, to help other mothers through their own struggles. This journey is what led me to become a postpartum doula and to write my first book, My Shameless Struggle into Motherhood.

My online journey started while living in NYC 2012 as a social media experiment asking the question, "What would happen if I shamelessly promoted myself?" The experiment transformed into a lifestyle attracting the kindest viewers and iconic brands partnerships.

After ten years of hustle, speaking, hosting, opening a production company and producing digital series, I now call the countryside of Sweden home. Here is where I’m reimagining what it means to be a wife, mother, creative and a support to other mothers figuring out this confusing process.
